Stacy and Vaughn- Married!

Stacy and Vaughn had a beautiful winter wedding back in December. Beautiful day, the snow was falling softly and the little church was all decked out in its finest as were the bride and groom. It was a lovely day, filled with family, friends and love.

I have always wanted to learn how to dance.  Never have though.  Guess I will settle for taking pictures of dancers.  This week I got the chance to capture images of two beautiful dancers for their senior portraits.  As my not so old legs were tired from getting up and down to get just the right angle with my camera, these ladies were on their toes and doing leaps in the street and in downtown Ann Arbor! I thoroughly enjoy creating one of a kind images that suit each persons personality.  I hope it shows in my images, even if I can’t dance.

Mr. Baby D

Just spent the evening chillin’ with Mr. D.  I was priveleged to photograph his Mom and Dad at their wedding, and today I got to capture some images of a sweet little man!  He cooperated wonderfully (as most of my clients seem to do, I love my job!) and we got some great pictures for Grandma and Grandpa’s wall!

Summer Sun. Summer Fun.

Spent the evening last night with the G family.  They are an awesome and very busy family keeping up with a 1 year old, 4 year old, and 6 year old, and we had some fun capturing some images of the energy!  Here are a few of the images from their Family Session.  If you are interested in booking a session, please see my Investment page.  I am now booking for August and September… and before you know it it will be time to start thinking about (GASP!) Christmas cards! If you have questions or would like to book a session please call me at 734-645-728o or email at

Miss K

Had a great time the other night with Miss K.  It was HOT though, so we had some fun down by the creek, and I soaked myself getting some of these shots by standing in the creek, but she thought it was pretty funny and I got cooled off so it was a win-win.  Some of my favorites from this session are of her “waiting for the train” which doesn’t move and is just a caboose, but the kids just love.  It’s our local Depot Museum, and the lighting is just awesome here in the evenings.  My new (old) props worked perfect with her pretty vintage inspired dress.  One of these days I’m going to have to do a Paddington Bear themed shoot at this location!  Contact me if you are interested! 734-645-7280

Lots of projects being finished up today before the holiday weekend.  One of which included editing a Senior shoot from the other day… it was a beautiful night downtown.  Glad that the shoot was the other day, before it got to be 100+ degrees.   Stay cool, and have a great weekend and Happy 4th of July!

Grand Opening

I was priveleged to shoot a Grand Opening Celebration for Liebherr the last few days. They have  a beautiful new building, beautiful people, and had beautiful weather for their celebrations.  Those things make for a photographer’s dream! Congratulations to all that made the events a success!

Spent last evening playing at the park with some really fun kiddos! It was a beautiful day and there were lots of other people at the park, but we managed to carve out a space of our own and have some fun.  Here is a sneak peek of some of the shots we got…

Grey Skies Smiling at Me

ImageIt is a grey day here, but grey can be pretty and I am hoping that the rain holds off long enough to get in the shoot I have scheduled tonight.  I am doing portraits for a group of friends who are graduating from their Residency Program in a few weeks.  I’m looking forward to it, and the grey skies will be a nice backdrop as long as they don’t start dropping wet stuff on us!

Back in Time

Images can transport us to a different place, old memories, old friends, great times.  Today I was priveledged to go on a field trip with my daughter’s class to a one-room school house to experience grade school in the early 1900’s.  We played “Graces” and walked on stilts (those of you who know me know that game is  lost on me). I was able to catch some pictures for them to remember the day by, as they remembered a different time.  Here are a couple of my favorites…
